I lived in Columbus, Ohio in the
surrounding suburbs all of my life until 1 year ago.
I graduated from Ohio State University in 1980 in Business
Adminstration.
I am a 12 year cancer survivor.
I have been married for well over 20 years to a great guy and have 2
fantastic sons. My first son just graduated from Medical School and is
doing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.
His undergraduate degree was from Ohio State Unviversity and
medical school was the University of Cincinnati.
My second son is beginning his second year in college at
Heidelberg University. He
was a USA level swimmer at New Albany High School and continues to be
employed as a lifeguard, swim coach, swim lesson instructor - all
surrounding activities at the pool during the summer months.
I had a 21 year career in the computer
field running large scale projects across the world for Columbus based
companies. I did not stop
working full time until my oldest son was a senior in high school.
I now run the Ohio State University off campus student housing
business my parents started before I was born. I lived in one of these
same buildings when I went to Ohio State.
My husband is an executive with Western
Union. Once we became
empty nesters a year ago, we moved to Denver, Colorado where the home
office of Western Union is located.
I travel every few weeks back to Columbus to manage our
apartment rental business.
It is great to read and hear about many of
you over the years. I
really miss Columbus. When
I am back in Columbus I stay in my fathers old house in the
Grandview/Marble Cliff area which is only a few blocks from my mothers
house I grew up in on Chelsea Road.
